In depth
Verdict
McEldowney looks the percentage call in a wide open finale and he is taken to score with Malinsa Blue and Robinzal the best of the remainder. The selection is dropped significantly in grade after finishing last in the Shergar Cup at Ascot last time. He had previously run well at Goodwood behind Doctor's Cave and if he can reproduce that effort here then he will be hard to beat. Malinsa Blue travelled well for a long way when when beaten behind Beaver Patrol at the Curragh last time and the slight step up in trip might help to bring about some improvement. If the market vibes are positive then it could pay to take the hint. Robinzal has improved with each of his runs and he put up a good effort when second Secret History last time. If he can improve again then he will not be far away at the finish. A market move for any of the newcomers should also be noted, but McEldowney sets a fair standard for the rest here and he is given the tentative vote.
