Verdict
ARMANDIHAN made all at Pontefract to open his seasonal account and similar tactics could also pay dividends on this sharper track. Atkinson Grimshaw wasn’t beaten far when last in this grade at Ripon in July and is 3lb lower now so rates a threat. Ad Libitum is proving a consistent three-year-old and Roger Fell’s gelding is still on a decent mark while recent winners Regal Mirage and Akamanto appear closely matched on the form book and should be thereabouts again. Arrowtown was second over course and distance last month but never threatened the winner and Mutadaffeq is looking high enough in the weights at present.
