Verdict

James Bethell's yard are in better form of late and True Magic can get off the mark in handicap company. An easy winner in maiden company, the jockey could afford to ease off the gas from some way out and on that evidence there are races to be won. Baron Rhodes has done little wrong and it is with reluctance that we avoid her. Derek McGaffin gave her an incredibly canny ride at Hamilton but she has gone up in the weights since. Marysienka never quite achieved at Richard Hannon's yard and is now at John Balding's. Bella Boy Zee showed good speed when pressed at Doncaster although the time was some way off standard. Jadan's form is on softer ground while Elliot's Choice should be staying on again nearest the finish. A difficult race in which True Magic is given the mantle of our selection.
