        Verdict

        Staxton won the Ayr Silver Cup last season and any money for him on reappearance shouldn’t be discounted as he’s won off higher marks in the past. Rathbone won an egg and spoon race at Doncaster but that’s meant the handicapper couldn’t lay into him and this is a big moment for Curtis Wilson-Ruddock on only his second ride in public. INTRINSIC BOND (NAP) did too much early doors when meeting the former and the cocktail of a bigger field and a 2lb drop in the weights is a heady combination. Tinto was a little unlucky at Ripon on a first start for Michael Dods while Magical Max ran creditably here last month.
