Verdict
This could provide Newmarket-trainer Michael Bell with a welcome winner as Ganymede bids to atone for a few near misses notched up by some of his stablemates of late. The Daylami colt was always going to struggle over inadequate trips during his juvenile starts but showed that he has a race within him when staying on to the finish when going down by a length on his reappearance at Leicester. In contrast, Obay was a little disappointing at Windsor and, even though the ground may not have been ideal, has improvement to find now. Therefore, it would be no surprise to see Bollin Annabel give the selection the most to do as she is a stoutly-bred type that will be all the better for the experience. However, she in turn is likely to find Ganymede has her measure at this stage and the place for the forecast appears to be the best her connections can hope for today.
