Verdict
Cape Vale is narrowly preferred to Rose Siog and Bespoke Boy in a really competitive contest. The selection puts his unbeaten record on the line having won both starts for Dandy Nicholls at two. The first of those came in a course and distance maiden and the second in a nursery at Ayr where Kinout was amongst those behind. He is a half-brother to the classy Moss Vale and seems to have a fair share of his sibling's ability; he should be competitive on his return. There's a chance that Bespoke Boy may struggle against better handicapped rivals but his juvenile form in defeat to the likes of Winker Watson and Declaration of War means that he has to be on the short-list. Rose Siog hails from the Richard Fahey yard that has made its customary good start to the season. She signed off for last year with a decent run in a sales race and her pedigree offers hope that she will be able to build on that this year. Three to consider then in a wide open heat, Cape Vale is the pick.
