Fitness will have to be taken on trust with a few of these but Star Of Lady M did well in her first season, winning four times and ending up with a third in Listed company at Ripon. WASHINGTON HEIGHTS finished a length ahead of Northcliff, with Secret Guest, Jm Jungle and Redemption Time further behind, when second in a valuable sales race at York last August. Third in the Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar subsequently, Kevin Ryan’s gelding looks the one to beat. Sparkling Red was a course and distance winner last summer and Miss Brazen is also respected from a yard that has made a strong start to the campaign. The race-fit Winter Crown and Democracy Dilemma may prove best of the rest.
