Verdict

The market should point the way to the chances of Passion For Gold and the other newcomers but ULTRAVOX has done enough to believe that an average race can go his way. He caught the eye on debut and, like so many of Brian Meehan's, showed improved form next time when taking third at Sandown; he should stay this far and appeared to handle soft ground at Newbury. He was well backed to get the better of a Godolphin owned winner at Sandown so Saeed Bin Suroor should have a fair idea of what will be required from Passion For Gold who possesses a smart American pedigree. The market has provided a reasonable guide to the yard's newcomers this term. Super Collider has a raft of big race entries and should improve from a nice introductory run. There are a couple of other interesting newcomers but he's potentially the biggest threat to Ultravox.
