Verdict

Nufoudh should again be very competitive over his optimum trip and with ideal conditions, but he is beatable at the weights and HIGH IMPORTANCE gets the vote, while Ingleby King is very interesting. His trainer David Barron knows the type of horse required to win this race after doing so three years ago with Skyelady, although she had a very different profile. Ingleby King has had three starts already in the spring and comes here for his handicap debut from a mark of just 62. We expect to see a marked improvement in form with conditions and trip both likely to be ideal. Loveinthesand acts on the ground but has a bit to prove after his run here last month, though the return to 7f should be a positive. Chambers may suffer for a little longer at the hands of the assessor after his Catterick second a couple of starts back, while fast ground lover Antarctic Desert is back in a handicap after a couple of abortive attempts in maidens, though he looks to have a bit to find. Spin Again has slipped to a handy mark and goes on any ground and over this trip so can't be ruled out, while Lucy Brown will find the step up in trip and 6lb penalty hard to cope with. Diamond Daisy looks handicapped to the hilt and High Importance gets the nod. Jeremy Noseda has his string in good form and sends only his fourth runner to this track in five years. One of his previous three visits was successful, and his colt for tonight relishes quick going and this trip. He has so far made the frame in five of his seven starts, but is taken to claim gold this time.
