Verdict

CHURCHSTONEWARRIOR has won a bumper and a novices' hurdle around here and was narrowly beaten in a Grade 2 over timber at Fairyhouse in April. He made a very promising debut over fences behind the more experienced Thedevilscoachman at Galway and can go one better. The Goffer won a Grade 3 over hurdles here and will improve from his chasing debut at Cork while Unexpected Depth looks a threat. A winner between the flags and of three hurdles, he looked as though this longer trip was required when beaten 12 lengths on his chasing bow at Naas. Irascible did well to score twice over timber as his pedigree suggests chasing should be his game while Indiana Jones' close second to Busselton at Punchestown a year ago puts him in the frame though he's fallen in his last three starts over fences.
