Verdict
THOMAS HOBSON, runner-up in last year's Ascot Gold Cup, ran poorly in the same race last month and hasn't run over hurdles since 2017 but he's a class act at his best and looks the one to beat. Band Of Outlaws completed a hat-trick when landing the Fred Winter at Cheltenham before running well in the Grade 1 Anniversary Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree and should have the measure of stable companion Plinth, who won over fences at Kilbeggan last month. Tombstone reverted to hurdles last season and was placed at Grade 1 level so shouldn't be dismissed but Like An Open Book looks outclassed.
