Verdict

A decent bumper to end proceedings. Doctor Duffy was repeatedly denied a run and still travelling strongly when he clipped heels and came down at Listowel last month and will make a bold bid for compensation if that tumble hasn’t had any lasting effects. First Approach was placed at Galway and Down Royal around this time last year but disappointed when last seen at Punchestown in the spring. Cara's Way may be improving, however, and Gigiplan Two Seven has Jamie Codd in the saddle. MISS CHEVIOUS GIRL ran green at Galway in August but still finished third. She’ll know more today and could find the necessary improvement to beat more-exposed rivals.
