Verdict

Capture The Drama won this a year ago from a 1lb higher mark and though inconsistent can't be ruled out for a repeat. Pack Your Bags went up 12lb after completing a double in impressive style at Clonmel and connections tried to take advantage of a lower hurdles mark back there but it didn't work out. Back over fences he should get into contention though if STOUGHAN CROSS runs up to the form of his victory at Kilbeggan he'll take some stopping. That was over 2m4f on soft ground but he was always travelling well and was in the lead at this trip so looks the one to be on. Commandant, rated 106 over hurdles, is 10lb higher over fences after a short-head victory at Wexford but is one of the few here with scope and should get into the mix. Effernock Lad would have a chance on his best form and didn't enjoy heavy going at Tramore last time when well beaten into third.
