Verdict

Lake Takapuna looks best of those with experience over hurdles after his second to Laid Back Luke at Clonmel and is likely to make a bold bid to go one better over this shorter trip. Baltic Voyager showed nothing on the Flat but made a decent start over timber at Limerick and should improve but Conn Job appeared to appreciate stepping up to 2m4f at Wexford. Crown Hill has been well beaten in all three starts while the four-year-old Duke Cass was beaten a long way into second at Ballinrobe. MAKING SHAPES, a winner on the Flat at Newcastle, was having just his second start for new connections at Cork last month where he stayed on late after getting outpaced. He'll know more this time and looks the one to be on.
