Verdict

Derek O'Connor won this a year ago on Charlie Swan's Rajik and the brilliant point-to-point champion takes the ride this time on Tony Martin's classy hurdler and chaser Reisk Superman, who had a pipe-opener on the flat here a week ago. The combination is difficult to ignore but there are others in better form including the very useful chaser Schelm, who scored on fast ground over fences at Punchestown last month and has the assistance of Nina Carberry. Banna Man has been in good heart over timber and finished runner-up under a big weight at Listowel recently while Paramount has had a break since finishing runner-up to Prospectus in a huge field at Punchestown in April. BAY SWALLOW has won three times over tonight's trip on fast ground within the last year - all at Tramore. She is just 4lbs higher for her hard-fought victory over Forest Minx last time but idled when hitting the front and is worth more than the short-head verdict suggests.
