In this mares-only race, Single Handed gets the call over Bonnet's Pieces and Off Stage. This is a bit of a headscratcher, with very few having anywhere near solid profiles. Bonnet's Pieces' second to Tabora here two runs ago gives her a shout, while Off Stage hails from a yard that is proving itself very capable and this Irish import is surely better than her Lingfield third to Saratogane last time. Ring Back, who should appreciate the drop back to two miles today, and Single Handed, who should improve on her Bangor run last time, are others to have shown enough promise to be given some sort of a chance in this average contest, while, much as she has been disappointing over hurdles so far, Cloudina would hold claims based on her bumper promise. Once again, then, the selection is Single Handed.
