Verdict
Three Guesses, Le Beau Bai and Big John Macarty form the shortlist for the finale with the vote given to Three Guesses. W are normally reluctant to tip up a bumper winner under a penalty but this 6-year-old won so well at Chepstow last time that we think he can go in again. He looks very useful indeed and he certainly seemed to score with plenty in hand. Le Beau Bai is a well-bred newcomer from a leading yard so he is one to note in the market and he could be the one to benefit if the selection fails to fire. Big John Macarty is another interesting newcomer but he is bred to be better over further in time and for the winner we will return to Three Guesses who made such a favourable impression when winning last time.
