Verdict
Star turn in this race seens to be the Nicky Henderson trained, CAVITE BETA and we take him to make a winning debut at the expense of Inkberrow Rose and Fidelor. A winning pointer in Ireland, he is from the family that includes Trabolgan so there is every reason to believe that Nicky Henderson should have more than an incline about that bloodline. Two miles will be sharp enough though his presence at the five day stage has scared off much of the meaningful opposition. Inkberrow Rose ran a career best in a valuable mares bumper at Sandown and has few issues in relation to the going. Henry Daly has two in the race. His horses tend to improve for a run so don't be surprised to see market interest in either Longitude or Fidelor. On pedigree, the going should suit the latter and the betting at Southwell on his debut indicated that he probably was expected to run some way better than he actually did. The Patient Man is a half-brother to 2m5f winner, Just A Splash, so anything achieved on this debut will be a bonus. Cavite Beta looks to have been found a decent opportunity to get off the mark and we seek not to oppose.
