Verdict

Coolfighter completed a double in June, including over a big field at Gowran, and he ran quite well on the Flat at Killarney last month. The four-year-old Cradle Mountain deserved his victory at Ballinrobe and wasn't disgraced when stepped into handicap company at Galway last time. Dove Mountain was an odds-on chance when beating four rivals at Perth but had earlier finished around six lengths behind LONG JOURNEY HOME at Kilbeggan. The latter didn't run badly in a tough handicap at Galway later and may be good enough to get back on the winning trail. The remaining pair have a bit to find but neither can be dismissed in a competitive little race.
