      Verdict

      Charlie Mann looks to have found a good opportunity for his Texas Ranger in this quality field and he could go well at a decent price. At his best last season he won four times including a valuable race at Worcester. His two runs this season came in competitive races and his stamina was found out in the latter stages. This shorter trip should suit and with the ground in his favour he should go well. Iris's Gift will no doubt be popular following a hat-trick completed inside the last 100 days however she seems the type better over further and runs here mainly due to lack of opportunity elsewhere. Taming is capable of putting in some useful performances and this looks his distance. Capable on any ground he should be up there in the firing come the closing stages though the selection may prove too strong.
