Verdict

Searching has been very disappointing since winning at Market Rasen in July. Phoebus Lescribaa needs more but Rebel Leader, pulled up in a chase last time, still has scope and the even less-exposed Hunting Percival won a novice event here in July, though none of those behind have franked the form. Chasamax placed at Kempton and Plumpton last winter and makes his handicap debut so is sure to attract market support while Gavrocheka followed up her win at Market Rasen with a fair third at Southwell. Little went right at the latter track for METHAG on her reappearance but she’ll strip fitter here and looks a threat to all on victories last season at Huntingdon and Doncaster.
