Verdict

This looks a competitive handicap with Richard Newland, who trained last year’s winner, doubly represented. Forecast was travelling strongly at Perth when falling having finished third earlier at Market Rasen. He should be thereabouts with a clear round and is preferred to the returning Mr Caffrey. Fanzio weakened quickly once headed at Stratford but De Plotting Shed should be approaching peak fitness and Dead Right goes well fresh. OSCAR ROSE will have learned plenty form her second to Leoncavallo at Stratford so gets the vote as Vinnie The Hoddie has had jumping problems, though has slipped to a very attractive mark.
