Verdict
Fiori took a bad fall when holding every chance last time out but looks to gain compensation at the expense of Flahive's First and Selberry. Pat Haslam's charge was putting in his best performance for some time at Perth when disaster struck at the last fence. It is somewhat debatable as to whether he'd have won or not but there was plenty of encouragement none-the-less. Tony McCoy has a decent strike rate for the Pat Haslam stable and the pair are selected as likely winners in this contest. Flahive's First is ridden by the in-form Seamus Durack. He demonstrated improved form to land a Cartmel handicap but his career has been dogged by inconsistency. Selberry hails from a yard that are quietly churning out the winners at present. He was useful over both fences and hurdles and should have come on for a recent reappearance. Ceresfield has always been something of a job horse. He possesses clear ability and the market must be checked in order for clues toward this evening . He looks the pick over Nephite and Able Native. Special Agenda is consistent but looks a better prospect on a softer surface.
