    Verdict

COMMODORE and Billy Hicks finished practically upsides behind Gregarious in a blanket finish last time at Towcester. The pair meet on the same terms so there should be little between them again but Venetia Williams’ charge is taken to confirm the form, despite the longer trip. Transient Bay is becoming hard to predict but won over track and trip two runs ago while Sackett made all at Hereford 11 days ago for a first victory under Rules, though is upped in grade here. Lord County looks in the handicapper’s grip now, however, and Mr Fitzroy remains out of sorts.
