Verdict
Dancing Bay, Middlethorpe and Maniatis look the principals in a wide open affair and the tentative vote goes to Dancing Bay. The seven year old won with plenty in hand at Hexham last time when defeating Kharak and although he has risen in the weights he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Middlethorpe is another that will relish the conditions. He also won well last time out when defeating Cumbrian Knight but this looks more competitive so for that reason he is opposed. Maniatis won a seller in good style last time but he to will need to improve significantly if he is to trouble the judge. Through The Rye is another that could go well now he reverts back to hurdles after an abortive attempt over fences. Benbyas looks weighted up to the hilt and will not get an easy lead while Cosmocrat is a course and distance winner but his best form is on faster ground so in an open affair we return to Dancing Bay for the winner.
