      Verdict

A competitive hunter chase gets Proceedings under way. Sol Music, Alpha Romana and Sursum Corda are all sure to have there supporters but we prefer to take a chance on the enigmatic Irbee. The gelding from the bang in form Paul Nicholls yard goes particularly well for Charlotte Tizard and with conditions again in his favour he will be hard to beat. Sol Music was behind Irbee last time out but is eight pounds better in here for a six length beating. Alpha Romana won well at Cheltenham last time out but this is more competitive. Sursum Corda is a shadow of his former self but at least he has conditions in his favour. Of the remainder City Gent has a leading amateur onboard and he could run well at a big price.
