Verdict
A fair contest for this time of year and this step up in trip should suit Brereton much better. Even when he won at Fakenham over two miles five furlongs, he was bustled along for much of the trip, and it was much the same story at Stratford. He will be wearing a visor for the first time and that, coupled with the step up to three miles should enable him to travel much better, and he is taken to prove too strong for Waterberg, who hasn't always looked the most natural of jumpers. Henry Daly's eight-year-old is well treated on the best of his form and if putting in an error free round, must go well. Others to consider include the lightly weighted Sunday Habits, who didn't run too badly when chasing home Dam The Breeze at Hereford on his latest effort and Count Oski, who is slipping down the handicap now and is only 5lbs higher than when winning at Ascot back in March.
