Verdict

Danimix and Erdeli represent in-form yards and hold leading claims but a chance is taken with CALL AT MIDNIGHT on debut for a new yard. Formerly with Alan King, the mare won a bumper at the first time of asking but showed little on her last two starts over hurdles after a promising start over obstacles. Therefore, she clearly has something to prove but the change of scenery may well be to her benefit and she has leading claims on the figures as things stand. Danimix failed to justify market confidence over course and distance last time but still appears to hold leading claims in this company as does Erdeli although his stamina could prove to be the chink in his armour. In contrast, Favours Brave may well benefit from the step up in distance although much will depend upon how he settles given that he can be keen. Thorpey's Girl looks moderate on all known form but the yard is, at least, going well and she hasn't many miles on the clock but the claims of Call At Midnight appeal more. (Ian Ogg)
