Verdict
Windy Spirit, Fine By Me, Blackies All and Jack Durrance are a handful against the field in another wide open affair and the tentative vote is given to Windy Spirit despite his big weight. The selection won well last time out when beating Star Time. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he again has conditions to suit looks a progressive type and is taken to win again with his yard continuing in good form. Fine By Me rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Cava Bien but this looks much tougher and he will need to improve to win off this higher mark. Blackies All was a fair second behind Green'n' Gold last time and has definite place claims especially as the step up in trip looks sure to suit. Jack Durrance was behind the selection last time and although better off at the weights he still has a little to find. Scarface is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to the hilt. Of the remainder Deputy Mayor looks on a handy mark and could go well at a price but he is hard to win with and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Windy Spirit to defy his big weight.
