Verdict
Not the strongest of handicaps and despite the claims of Cool Investment and Mallory, a chance is taken with the first-time blinkered Musimaro, who will certainly find this easier than chasing the likes of Be Fair and Bosham Mill around on his last two starts. The winner of a bumper on his second racecourse appearance, he hasn't found things easy since going hurdling, but the combination of the blinkers and the step into handicap-company could just be what the doctored ordered. Cool Investment did well last season when sent chasing, winning twice and runner-up in the other. Beaten off a lower mark when last seen over timber, surely connections are just using this outing as a pipe opener before going back to chasing. Mallory had a progressive profile in the spring picking up a couple of small events, but he has paid for that and is some 15lbs higher than when last successful. There are possibilities about the lightly weighted Harbour Point. Dennis Caro's seven-year-old turned in his best effort to date at Bangor last month when chasing home East Hill and a repetition of that would certainly see him go close in this, but we will stick with Musimaro in the hope that the blinkers have the desired effect.
