In depth

Verdict

MOSTLY BOB looks capable of providing the Hobbs yard with another winner and is preferred to It's Brown and Danmegella. All three of the aforementioned have something to prove under drying conditions which tempers confidence but the Hobbs string is in great form at present and Mostly Bob may be able to add to his Chepstow heavy ground bumper success. He raced a shade keenly on his hurdling bow on ground that was a fair bit faster and could only finish second but he's entitled to improve on that if he settles better over this longer trip. It's Brown has never raced on ground better than soft but he has shown ability on a couple of occasions and this sort of race should be within his scope. Danmegella finished a long way behind It's Brown at Towcester and didn't improve significantly on that form last time but the quicker conditions may help to bring about an improvement in his form. The McCain and Hobbs second strings are others to note along with Malindi Bay but the suggestion is Mostly Bob.
