Verdict
A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and many can be given chances on their best form, but the principals look to be Scarface, Prince Domino, La Muette and Little Villain and the vote goes to Scarface. The selection was a fair fifth behind Good Potential on his final outing last season. This looks easier and with the Pipe yard in top form and off what looks a good mark he will be hard to beat. Prince Domino rates the main danger on his latest third behind Gran Ealga but that form has since been let down and for that reason he is opposed. La Muette was a fair third behind Time To Roam last time but that horse is trained by Martin Pipe the same as the selection so he should know where he stands. Little Villain would have place claims on his best form but he has had plenty of chances and is far from consistent. Of the remainder Saddler's Quest is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Scarface.
