Elham Valley would have obvious claims if turning up but the four-year-old was expected to run in better company yesterday at Haydock. Fletch has placed in maidens at Southwell and Exeter and will be fancied to make it third-time lucky over timber but GADJET D’AINAY is a potential fly in the ointment. He is a half-brother to three winners in France and it would be a surprise if he didn’t know what was required.
