Boyfromnowhere, a recent winner between the flags, performed creditably when transferred to open handicap company at Cartmel and looks nicely treated. He should confirm placings with Pena Dorada, a four-time chase winner who was sent off favourite that day in the Lake District. Letbeso also scored at that picturesque venue last time and must be respected off an 8lb higher mark but the extra poundage may prove a bridge too far and BIG SOUND, a three-time winner here, can make the move back to chasing a successful one after a solid effort here last time over timber. Foundation Man suggested he was on the way back last time when a good third at Worcester and should be in the mix despite a 2lb rise for that improved effort.
