In depth

Verdict

MASTER SOMERVILLE won't mind the ground and knows what it takes to win around here. He's now 11lb better than his last winning mark and probably won't get a better chance to end his barren spell. Sawpit Supreme, Manmoon and French Ties all have the ability to win a race like this and the first-named will be all the better for her comeback run at Exeter. Bennynthejets would prefer better ground, however, while Legends Lass has struggled since winning at Newton Abbot in June. Spirit Calling was second over C&D last month but struggling when falling here 12 days ago and continues to look too high in the weights.
