In depth

Verdict

This shouldn't take a great deal of winning and COSMIC WONDER can confirm the impression that he made on his hurdling debut at Downpatrick. The Irish assessor rated the winner 112 so a similar performance should suffice. Emrani has had two inauspicious efforts over hurdles so far but it would be folly to give up on Donald McCain's five-year-old just yet. A winner over two miles on the Flat for John Oxx, he has been kept ticking over on the level this summer. Bravo Bravo looked to have the scope to win a few races over hurdles but he has been disappointing. Whilst the market may have been lukewarm about his horses, Alex Hales has returned two places from his last two runners so it would be no surprise to see Hanahoe leave behind some fairly modest form.
