    Verdict

PIPER HILL would have been an aptly named winner at Perth, but he ran no sort of race on his British debut and the application of the first time tongue strap can help him get back on track. Best Excuse demonstrated some improvement when finishing third in a bumper at Worcester and the second has gone on to pick up a maiden hurdle since. Onedin Line makes a Rules debut for Gordon Elliott. His dam was the tough, One So Wonderful, but having gone through the sales ring for 75000gns as a yearling - he realised just 3000gns last year. Jubilee Night and Hard House were well held on their debuts at Worcester though the going was particularly soft. Any confidence behind Western Movie has to be viewed with the utmost respect. The half-brother to Ring The Boss flopped when put in at prohibitive odds on his debut at Aintree but he was not knocked about once held.
