Verdict
Star Time, Bonny Boy and The Masareti Kid form the shortlist here and the vote is given to the first mentioned. The selection has his ground conditions today and although he has proved a frustrating type to follow, he will be suited by the step-up in trip and he will never get a better chance to break his duck. Bonny Boy did not enjoy the fast ground when pulled-up at Bangor last time but he would hold a leading chance today if he could reproduce his previous effort at Plumpton when he beat Pintail. The Masareti Kid was a little disappointing at Wetherby last time but he does handle these ground conditions and on his best form he would hold a solid chance. Ludere returns to this sphere after failing to get round over the bigger obstacles last time and he could go well at an each-way price. However, for the winner we will stick with Star Time.
