A small but competitive field goes to post for this novices hurdle and the principals look to be Eskimo Pie, Raven's Last and Tom Fruit and there tentative vote goes to Raven's Last. The selection was a fair sort in bumpers and rounded off last season with a good second behind Big Bone. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdles debut and with his yard in top form he is taken to defy a 230 day absence. Eskimo Pie rates the main danger as at least he has experience over obstacles. He was a good second on his debut behind Cloudy Sky and is sure to have learnt from the experience so he will not be far away. Tom Fruit was another that was a fair sort in bumpers and he ran with plenty of promise on his first run for over a year when fourth behind Ammonias. He to is sure to have come on for the run but that was only 16 days ago and the suspicion is this may come to quick and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Theretofore has top connections and is one to note in the market but on form he has a little to find and for the winner we return to Raven's Last.
