Verdict
JADES DOUBLE can defy top weight and open up her account this season ahead of Aya and Low Delta. The pick, trained by Jim Best, may be under the biggest burden here but is now four pounds below her last winning mark. That win came in March and on her penultimate effort, her second of the new season, where she started to show a return to the sort of form that gave her that success. The last run can be forgiven with the turnaround of just two days leaving her short and with the longer break she can score again. Aya is probably the animal most open to improvement in the field after just eight starts so far. She comes here after over 230 days off and on level terms with the selection. The progression may be needed as she struggled off a mark three pounds heavier on her last run but if she's fit then she has a claim. Low Delta is still a maiden after 15 starts and since joining the handicap ranks has struggled over trips of this length. He has been difficult to win with as shown when blowing a seemly perfect opportunity in lesser company last time however if he can get it together he's a danger to the selection Jades Double.
