Verdict

We finish the card with a bumper where we have very little form to go on so watch the market for any hints but from the lines we do have BARAFUNDLE looks an idea of a winner while Jack The Gent and successful pointer Ballyoliver could also get their heads in front. The selection was a course and distance third on his only start so far, which came in the summer. That bumper was won by Nigel Twiston-Davies' Diablo who has won twice over timber and is now rated at 132 so our selection seems to set a good standard for this race. Gary Moore's Jack The Gent shaped well enough on his debut last time in a similar contest but the form from the race is not as strong as our selection's first outing. That said he'll come on from the run and needs to enter calculations. Ballyoliver was a winning pointer in Ireland but the race he won looks moderate at best. The ground conditions seem to be about right for his rules debut and it will be interesting to see how he does. Paisley Cross, for Jonjo O'Neill, improved from his debut effort last time and could improve further into the prize money while Aim For the Stars showed enough on debut to promise future success but we've gone for Barafundle.
