Verdict
The official BHB figures for this race say a lot about the strength of this contest and it will be surprising if the winner comes from outside of the top five in the weights. Colquhoun, who has completed only once from three previous efforts over fences, has a stiff task on these terms and may be better off when he is getting weight from more experienced rivals. So a chance is taken that the return to this sort of trip will suit Superb Leader and he can strike for the first time for his in-form yard. Cut in the ground suits him judging by his pedigree and a bold show is expected. Athleague Guest has a little to find on his recent form so Ballyrobert is tentatively selected as the best of the rest.
