Verdict
This doesn't look the strongest of races and the vote goes to Fundamental, who should prove capable of defying a penalty for his recent course and distance success. Tom Tate's charge was confirming earlier promise when jumping fluently and making all to beat 17 rivals here last month and looks the type who will continue to make further progress over timber. Bodfari Rose has shown plenty of ability having been placed on all three hurdles outings to date and holds Minstrel Hall on last week's Carlisle effort. She should give another good account while Thunder Canyon shaped encouragingly on his debut behind Far Pavilions at Musselburgh last month and is entitled to improve.
