In depth

Verdict

Sheriff's Deputy deserves to get his head in front having found one too good in each of his last four starts but may, along with Multistore, again have to settle for minor honours behind Mr Velocity, who gets the vote. The selection improved on his debut effort at Folkestone when a staying on third behind Shoot at Newmarket. With further improvement to come over the extra furlong, Alex Stewart's son of Tagula looks the one to be on. Roger Charlton's Multistore returns to this trip having disappointed dropped to six furlongs last time and has to be respected along with the consistent Sheriff's Deputy. With the others with racing experience making limited appeal, the only other threats may come from the newcomers of who Pascali and Polar Jem make most appeal, but it is Mr Velocity who makes most appeal.
