Verdict
The short list for another maiden on the card contains Malt Or Mash, Stanley George and, possibly, Apache Dawn, with Malt Or Mash getting the nomination. Malt Or Mash made some eye-catching late headway behind a couple of decent types on his Lingfield debut, and he ought to be able to make his presence felt today, while Stanley George rates as a danger based on his promising Leicester debut third. Apache Dawn showed some promise on his debut and can improve, while Arabian Word was an expensive purchase and he also showed promise on his debut. Desert Soul has to step up on what he's shown in two runs, but that is a possibility, while Jack Junior has to be of some interest from the Brian Meehan yard. Overall, though, the selection is Malt Or Mash.
