On past form Selective is easily the best handicapped horse in the race and is taken to beat Whitethorne and Premier Fantasy. Obviously Selective is not the force of old but should still be capable of picking up a decent handicap. Just a year ago he was running well off handicap marks in the mid-eighties so his current rating gives him every chance in this company. He wasn't beatebn far behind Aggravation at Windsor last time and so could be about to hit peak form. Whitethorne and Premier Fantasy have similar claims having both been successful on their seasonal returns. Whitethorne was a length too good for Foreplay at Leicester, while Premier Fantasy just got the better of Franksalot at Brighton. Both have scope for further progression and they should be involved in the finish. Meditation is another worthy of a mention, but Selective is the pick of the weights this evening and he just edges the decision.
