Verdict
As there are doubts about a number of these it might be worth giving Spring Pursuit another chance as the seven-year-old attempts to rid himself of the maiden tag. Of the rest: Eviryn is in a minority in that he has some recent form to his name that gives him claims, and he is preferred over Ginko and Knightsbridge King as the main danger. However, a move for Red Blazer will be interesting once the betting opens as he would be very hard to beat on the best of his form. He does have a little to prove though as he has been off the track for the best part of two years and it will be a real training feat if he can score at the first time of asking this season. Therefore, Spring Pursuit may be the safest option today. The form of his latest start looks solid in the context of this race and looks sure to go very close with the bang-in-form Robert Thornton booked to be in the saddle.
