Verdict

An interesting race that is sure to provide a solid guideline for future reference. So choosing between the principle players is no easy task, but the pick of Supreme Hill's form over hurdles is as good as any on offer so the Charlie Mann-trained gelding edges it over D'Argent and Bee an Bee, who, along with the selection, should fill the first three paces barring accidents. But Supreme Hill has always had a lofty reputation as a decent chaser in the making and he may just sneak past the nose of the on course bookmakers after his less than graceful effort on his chasing bow last month. However, the fact that he tipped up after a novicey mistake at the third at Bangor should ensure that he is sent off at backable odds today and a better display is anticipated this afternoon as Noel Fehily is sure to have been working the horse at home. Mounsey Castle is another who should not be written off yet, but he tends to find little at the end of his races and is opposable on balance. Therefore a chance is taken that Supreme Hill can start to justify his reputation and he is selected to hold off D'Argent and Bee An Bee.
