In depth
Verdict
An open little handicap can go to Pavement Gates, with Bluegrass Beau and Literacy rated as the main dangers. The daughter of Bishop Of Cashel will relish the underfoot conditions and has no problem with the trip. The booking of Kieren Fallon for the selection is another obvious plus and Pavement Gates can finally add to her solitary maiden win to date. Bluegrass Beau made virtually all the running when getting off the mark here last season, but has plenty to prove with regard to this trip. A bigger threat could be posed by Smart John, who has shaped as if this trip will suit, but all-in-all, Pavement Gates looks to be the safest option.
