Verdict

Plenty of runners in the opener but quite easy to draw up a short list - right? - of Hello Roberto, Convince and Coconut Moon, with the verdict going to Coconut Moon. The draw, with a low one looking valuable here, played a big part in our race assessment and Coconut Moon, who looked unlucky at Chester last time, is well-berthed today and looks set to make a bold bid to make amends. Also well-berthed is Hello Roberto, particularly for a front-runner so watch her scorch the Turf, while the also well-drawn Convinced was well-backed before being edged out of things last time, and Milton Bradley isn't one for putting money down without good reason when the race fits, as this one might well do for his charge. Finally, King Egbert has been running well on the all-weather, but his Turf record is not so good, and much as Parkside Pursuit and Whistler, who ran well at Sandown last time, can have cases made for them, their wide draws make us look elsewhere,. And that elsewhere is Coconut Moon in terms of nominating the possible winner.
